This set of classes address hormone-related problems including infertility, hot flashes, diabetes, and depression.  Dietary choices have a surprisingly powerful effect on hormones and the problems they cause when out of balance. 


Classes may be booked individually or as a series.

Foods for Fertility

If hormones are out of balance fertility for both men and women may be compromised.  In this class, we discuss how diet plays a role in fertility and specific actions to get into better hormonal balance.  This two-hour class features a video, discussion, and the opportunity to taste plant-based dishes following a cooking demonstration. 


Curing Cramps and Premenstrual Syndrome

In this class we will discuss how food choices affect conditions such as menstrual cramps, PMS, and endometriosis.  This two-hour class features a video, discussion, and the opportunity to taste plant-based dishes following a cooking demonstration. 


Tackling Hormone-Related Cancers 

Certain cancers are significantly affected by hormones: breast, uterine, and ovarian cancers in women and prostrate and testicular cancer in men.  In this class we will discuss how to regulate hormones with  foods.  This two-hour class features a video, discussion, and the opportunity to taste plant-based dishes following a cooking demonstration. 


Reversing Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and Conquering Diabetes

In this class we will discuss dietary ways to combat hormones that can cause irregular periods, skin changes, polycystic ovaries, infertility, and diabetes.  This two-hour class features a video, discussion, and the opportunity to taste plant-based dishes following a cooking demonstration. 

Tackling Menopause 

Menopause is a natural part of life and in this class we will review topics including hot flashes, unpredictable emotions, changes in sexual function, and memory fog.  This two-hour class features a video, discussion, and the opportunity to taste plant-based dishes following a cooking demonstration. 


Curing Erectile Dysfunction and Saving Your Life 

A majority of the time, erectile dysfunction is the first indication of artery disease.  In this class we will look at reversing artery disease through a plant-based diet, moderate exercise, stress management, and no tobacco.  This two-hour class features a video, discussion, and the opportunity to taste plant-based dishes following a cooking demonstration. 


A Healthy Thyroid

Your thyroid gland regulates your body’s use of energy.  Not enough hormone and you will fell sluggish, too much hormone and you may feel revved up.  There is evidence that those who follow a plant-based diet are significantly less likely to get thyroid problems. There is also evidence that those who have switched to a plant-based diet were able to reverse these problems.  This two-hour class features a video, discussion, and the opportunity to taste plant-based dishes following a cooking demonstration. 


Foods and Mood

In this class we will look at the evidence that suggests that foods can help conquer moodiness and more serious mood problems such as anxiety and depression.  Studies show a dramatic improvement in depression and hostility scores, along with physical benefits, with individuals on a plant-based diet.  This two-hour class features a video, discussion, and the opportunity to taste plant-based dishes following a cooking demonstration. 


Avoiding Environmental Chemicals 

This class reviews common chemical exposures and how to avoid them to keep you and your family safe.  Common chemicals addressed include BPA, phthalates, pesticides, and hormones.
