In addition to my life experience I have completed the following specifically to help others on their health journey:
I trained with the Physicians Committee of Responsible Medicine (PCRM) to become a licensed Food for Life Instructor. The materials and training are fully supported with a staff of Doctors, Nurses and Dietitians. I have at my disposal a wealth of science based information to help you on your journey of health. As a licensed Food for Life Instructor, health educator and personal chef, I will support you on your journey towards health and wellness through cooking, teaching, and promoting a whole foods, plant-based lifestyle.
I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where I learned innovative coaching methods and practical lifestyle management techniques. In this program we concentrated on bio-individuality, meaning we are all at different places on our journey and what works for me may not necessarily be best for you. I specialize in meeting you where you are and helping you move forward. With the addition of my Integrative Nutrition Health Coach certification, we will work together to develop a plan of food and lifestyle choices that work best for you. The results of our collaboration will help you experience improvement of your energy, balance, health, and happiness. In our private sessions we will talk about things beyond food, seeking to bring balance to important elements of your life such as love and relationships as well as career and money. I will personally and carefully guide you to make simple, small changes that transform your life.
I also completed the certificate program in Plant-Based Nutrition with the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies where I had the opportunity to review evidence-based information on health and nutrition including the prevention and reversal of diseases such as heart disease and diabetes.
